My Bio
Hey everybody,

my name is Jonas Wendorf and I’m a self-taught designer from Germany.
I'm mostly doing retouches, but also some composites.
I enjoy doing my work and try to really understand, why things work (not only how) and I also teach my understandings in little tutorials and private lessons.

Hope you’ll enjoy my work and feel free to drop me comments and emails if you have any questions, critics etc., it’s always appreciated :-)!

Best regards,
Jonas

Hey everybody :-)! I don't know, how many of you knew that already, but I just wanted to show you my YouTube channel. On it I have some videos showing mostly somewhat special/advanced/freaky methods to speed up and at the same time maybe even improve your image editing workflow. Although most of it is in German only, I have some English tutorials as well with subjects that I haven't covered in any of the German tutorials yet ;-). Maybe some of you might benefit from it and if you do I'd be very happy to read a comment from you :-). Now here's the link and I wish you a great lot of fun and hopefully even some learning experience: http://w

Hey folks :-), today I'm going to talk about something that means very much to me personally: Operation Photo Rescue (http://www.operationphotorescue.org). These guys restore any damaged photo for those who lost everything totally free! Anyways of course this is a lot of work and you don't get paid for it, so every time there are new volunteers wanted and that's were you and me come into play ;-) I have to admit, I'm not the best restoration-guy ever, not at all, but I can handle some of the easier images and I bet you could do this too! So if you want to do me a favor and help victims of natural disasters, join now and help: http://www.

Old pictures

Sometimes I take a look at pictures that I did a long time ago and then I notice, how bad they really are. Sometimes that disturbs me so much that I just have to correct my mistakes. But isn't it a good thing to keep track of the progress you make? Wonder how you guys handle this, do you leave the mistakes or do you correct them?

All of your work is simply amazing! I can not wait to see what you make next.
Thanks :) new work will always be uploaded here :).
Hi Jonas, I have changed my mac for a new one and lost your very useful supporting layers actions. Have you got them posted somewhere that I could re down load?
Thanks
Hi Jonell,

usually you can find the download links underneath my YouTube videos in the description, so that'd be in the description here in this case: [link]
However I'm not sure how up to date the action is, so I'm just going to upload the newest version I have for you here: [link] you can use it just like the old one, although the accuracy has been somewhat increased and I've updated some of the groups to fit my workflow a little better.

Jonas
Hi Jonas, you are a gentleman, thank you.
I have to say I got addicted to your tuts for a while and must have watched most of them. I couldn't believe it when I realised your age, sorry about that. I have spent a lifetime working in print, repro and studio environment and you taught me things I didn't know. I am impressed and grateful.
thanks!
J
:D you're welcome and I'm glad you learned something from my videos.
Part of the reason for me to begin making these videos was because I noticed that only a very small amount of technically indepth tuturials existed back than. However I really expected this to a little "playground" for me and some other technically inclined people, so I'm the one to be grateful for the great feedback I get from you and others :)!

Thanks,
Jonas
